Build SMS & email templates that don't sound like spam

Create reusable templates with merge tags, test them, and let the AI personalize them per contact at send time.

Templates speed up the repetitive 80% of messaging — first-touch replies, scheduling, follow-ups after a showing. LeadSmart templates support merge tags (first name, property address, agent signature) and an optional AI personalization layer that rewrites the body to match the contact's voice and history.

Step by step

  1. Open Communicate → Templates → New template.

  2. Pick the channel (SMS, email, or both) and the use case (first touch, showing follow-up, listing presentation invite, etc.).

  3. Write the template using {{first_name}}, {{property_address}}, {{agent_name}} merge tags. The preview pane shows what it looks like for a sample contact.

  4. Toggle AI personalization on if you want the AI to rewrite the body per-recipient based on their conversation history. It keeps the structure and intent but tunes the tone.

  5. Save and test: from the template editor, click Send test on a real contact (it sends from your number, charged to your usage).

  6. Templates auto-show up as quick-insert options in the inbox compose box.
